While I was still studying at the University of St Gallen, I had a wide variety of careers to choose from – from being a journalist at the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, to being an ICRC delegate, a UN diplomat, or an investment banker. I took an internship at Credit Suisse at the beginning of the new millennium, and I finally found my calling – the financial sector. My fascination for the elemental force of global financial markets, based evermore in developing technology, was perfectly combined with my passion for communication and contact with people. It has been my raison d’être to bring exciting and innovative individuals together, thereby helping projects and companies to succeed.

In my personal life, I have found great happiness with my wife of 16 years, and we are currently guiding our teenage son on the path to adulthood. Other great sources of joy are our two German shepherds and the family’s second home in Valais. When I’m not spending time with my family and our dogs, I love to jog, hike and practice winter sports.
